No photos of our branch of the Lamb family have survived. Which  I find incredible. The only photos we have our of Pat, Zeila and me.

Not very much is known about the Lamb family apart from census. Over the years we have tried to get any information. But nobody seems to have wanted to part with any anything. Of course now apart from myself and my brother and sister. We appear to be the last of the Lamb family from Chelmsford.
Mum is buried at Writtle Rd, Cemetery.

Brother Pat carries the name Lamb as a Christian name.
Sister Zeila has Mum's name Rossies also as a Christian name.

So far, I go back to William Lamb of Brentwood, who started the Springfield & Chelmsford Dynasty.
   
One of his sons James is my Grandfather born at Springfield. One of his jobs was a  Stonemason's assistant.
In the 1891 Census he was a builders laborers
at Writtle.
He is buried at London Rd. Non-Conformist church.

James with his wife Alice ( nee Balls) move into School View around 1900.
